Goldi Lox and the Three Polar Bears

I haven’t posted in a while and now, I’ve been busy with some other design projects and an art show! … So, I thought for this post, why not jump ahead to one of the most famous scenes.. where Goldi is tasting the three bowls of porridge inside the Polar Bear’s cabin. This should give you a bit more of a flavour for the illustrations I am making for the story. I wish this could be a ‘scratch and sniff’ kind of ipad app, cuz porridge + brown sugar + cream sure smells heavenly.

Goldi has been a real challenge to draw, as I haven’t really been drawing caricatures of people for a very long time now, but I love the way she is coming along now. Bears, being one of my specialities, are much easier and for the story I’ve used simple gestures and expressions to emphasize the affection the family have for each other. I’ll show you some of my Polar Bear family sketches soon… it’s all very exciting!
